Sloan Unveil Canadian Fall Tour Dates, Release Pay-What-You-Want Best-Of
Published Aug 31, 2011It's been a big year for Canadian alt-rockers Sloan, what with the band releasing their The Double Cross album while simultaneously celebrating their 20th anniversary. The group already hit us up with a tour earlier this year, but they'll be heading back out on the road for a handful of dates this fall.
Sloan will be playing a string of shows this September, with Canadian stops scheduled across Ontario and another lined up for Moncton, NB. More dates are expected to be revealed soon, though, so don't despair if your city is not on the list yet.
Sloan will be joined by Aussie rockers You Am I for their stretch of U.S. gigs, while Rooney member Taylor Locke will be on all dates with his band, Taylor Locke & the Roughs.
In case you wanted to further celebrate Sloan's two-decade run, the group have released an online greatest-hits called Select Singles 1992-2011. While you may be feeling underwhelmed at the tracklisting -- it features no B-sides or rarities, just album cuts -- you can relish in the fact that it's available right now at NoiseTrade for the price of an email. You are, however, able to donate upwards of $100 to the cause, if you're so inclined.
