As we all know, yesterday (August 25) was the 40th anniversary of Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run. Today, we're faced with a new video from Toronto's Slim Twig, who is having a hell of a time trying to hoof it across a finish line in "Fadeout Killer." You'll find him crampin' up down below.
Produced by Jennifer Hazel, David Rendall and Ross Turnbull, the video casts Slim as a troubled runner, just trying to get through his morning routine without distraction. Sucks to be him, though, as he's opted to race alongside a beach filled with swimsuit-clad ladies enjoying giant ice cream cones.
Presented in slow-mo, suiting the song's easy-breeze '70s groove, the clip shows how agonizingly unfair it is to be a snack-deprived sprinter. But, as they say: "No Pain, No Gain."
You'll find the video for the Thank You for Stickin' with Twig LP down below. Keep an eye out for the cameo from U.S. Girls' Meg Remy!
As previously reported, Slim Twig's September tour has him hitting portions of the Prairies and the West Coast. You'll find the full details over here.
