When not hitting the skins for indie-rock supergroup Wild Flag, Janet Weiss sits behind the kit for covers act Slang. And while it took five rock greats to write the Traveling Wilburys classic "Handle with Care," it only takes two — Weiss and band buddy Drew Grow — to crank out this new version.
The song features some familiar harmonica work, but chunks up the tune with some distorted guitars and a thicker backbeat. Vocally, Grow multitasks by tackling lines from George Harrison and Roy Orbison, while Weiss chimes in with some sweet harmonies later on.
As for the video, it's a hodgepodge of home footage that finds the pair all-smiles on the road and onstage, and also features some high-jumpin' pogo stick action.
