Sinergy

To Hell And Back

BY Kevin Stewart-PankoPublished Aug 2, 2000

Sinergy are probably one of the most maligned bands around. The reasons are obvious: Euro-speed metal clichés run rampant and unchecked; Kim Goss, one of metal-dom's sketchiest characters, heads the band; and the lyrical intellect behind the likes of "The Bitch is Back," "Wake Up in Hell," "Midnight Madness" and "Return to the Fourth World" is as close to nil as allowed by law. There's no reason for me to enjoy this, but I do. The songs are well crafted with decent flow and structure, neat solos and despite what you think of Goss, you can't deny her soaring pipes and her abilities as a front-woman.
