Evoking their generation's continued fascination with '80s electro pop, Montreal-via-Edmonton's Silly Kissers were easily one of the most interesting young bands to turn heads at M for Montreal. Conveying a cute kind of sexiness and some fairly intricate rhythms and musical arrangements, the group were cheeky but earnest. For a duet with stage-hopping pal Cadence Weapon, co-lead singer Jane Penny tried not to giggle through a melodramatic song called "You're the One." Maybe she couldn't handle the fact that "I'm Not the One" was up next. See? Silly Kissers are a fun band.
