BC folk-rockers Shred Kelly have announced a Canada-wide virtual fall tour in support of their new album Like a Rising Sun. Next month, the band will travel to stages across the country to perform live sets through the Facebook pages of iconic Canadian venues.
They'll kick off a string of dates in their home province next month, beginning in Vancouver on October 8. The 10-date tour will see the band performing unique livestream sets in Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa and more, before heading back west for their final performance on the trek in Winnipeg on October 24.
A portion of proceeds from each show will benefit venues affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today, Shred Kelly have also shared a new video for the album's "Looking For."
The clip was shot, directed and edited by Aere Films, and sees "two young adults both living in a mountain town [who] are no longer fulfilled with where their lives have taken them. As they go through the motions of their separate day to day lives, they realize they are looking for something more."
The video is based on the true story of how the band's Tim Newton and Sage McBride first met a decade ago.
Their Nygel Asselin-produced Like a Rising Sun arrived back on July 19 through DevilDuck Records. The album marks their fifth studio offering.
