The Sea and Cake Release New Album, Tour

BY Josiah HughesPublished Sep 18, 2008

Chicago’s jazziest indie rock quartet the Sea and Cake spent a decent chunk of the 2000s on hiatus after they released One Bedroom in 2003. Fortunately, they resurfaced with Everybody last year and will continue the trend with their next full-length, Car Alarm, due October 21 from Thrill Jockey.

In keeping with these prolific times, the band have also announced a hefty fall tour that will lead them through North America. The trip includes Canadian dates in Toronto and Montreal, where they will be joined by Sub Pop’s Death Vessel.
