Roc Marciano

"Bally Belts"

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Dec 31, 2012

Exclaim! praised Long Island spitter Roc Marciano's late 2012 LP Reloaded as an "exhibit of spoken poetry knitted to orchestral magic," and now the rapper has gifted us one more tune to cap a killer year. Earlier today (December 31), the rapper posted a self-produced, previously unreleased cut called "Bally Belts."

It's a suitably smooth and sturdy excursion, with Marciano's cool delivery floating atop some a loop of soul-jazz noodlings. In it, a long gun-armed Marciano spits about being the "wolfman dancing with the sheep," looking sleek in a long mink and how corny rappers should bask in his glory.
