Though the details have yet to arrive in full, record producer extraordinaire Rick Rubin is apparently taking a sage, Yoda-like approach to his next project, Star Wars Headspace. Themed after the Star Wars franchise, recently revamped by The Force Awakens, the release will reportedly feature some high-profile contributions.
The album sees a wide array of artists create new songs using Star Wars sound effects. The album includes appearances from Flying Lotus, Kaskade, GTA, Baauer, Shlohmo, Rustie, Bonobo, Röyksopp and Rubin himself. The album's tracklisting is available below.
Star Wars Headspace arrives on February 19 as a digital release and March 18 via Hollywood Records / American Recordings.
Lowe and Disney both teased the project over Twitter.
Pitchfork reports that the collection will be promoted throughout the day (February 8) on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 program.
