Radio Slave

The fourth instalment in the Misch Mash series, where an artist creates a DJ mix and a second CD of unmixed remixes, this outing features Radio Slave (aka Matt Edwards), who follows on the heels of Tiefschwarz, Freeform Five and DJ Hell. A virtual remix machine responsible for over 20 remixes last year under the Radio Slave and Rekid monikers, Edwards serves up six remixes and two originals for Misch Masch IV. The latter are woven into the Detroit-edged, dark and crispy techno mix of the first CD. And for the second CD, the Radio Slave remix portion, the tracks are marginally lighter, as the likes of Booka Shade, Carl Craig, Moby, Xpress2, Cagedbaby, Jamelia and Pet Shop Boys are made monotonously mellow and minimal.
