Irish indie quartet Pillow Queens have announced the departure of drummer Rachel Lyons, who has been with the band since their 2016 inception.
They shared the news on Instagram, writing, "Hi folks, today we are coming to you with some sad news. Rachel has decided to step away from Pillow Queens to pursue another career."
"We want to take the time to thank Rachel for years of dedication, hard work and to say we will miss the fun times we had together," Lyons's former bandmates Pamela Connolly, Sarah Corcoran and Cathy McGuinness continued. "Join us in wishing her the best of luck with everything in the future."
Pillow Queens released their third studio album, Name Your Sorrow, this spring via Toronto's Royal Mountain Records. It followed their 2022 sophomore effort, Leave the Light On, as well as the group's 2020 debut, In Waiting.
