The now-defunct Parka Kings' swan-song live album is a competent, if fluffy, piece of typical third-wave Midwest stuff. Vapid lyrics, jangly guitar, tight horn section and a steady rhythm section aren't really anything unusual. The sound quality is fine and you can get the idea of what a Parka Kings show might be like: a whole lot of youngsters bopping up and down, doing that crazy pogo-thing. The songs aren't particularly challenging or novel, but the smiley-happy thing can get infectious. For Parka Kings fans and people who really dig Detroit only.
