After hitting play on the new record from Toronto's Paintbox, you'd think they've gone Stereolab. But after a short intro that nods to the world's premiere pop hipsters, they get down to the indie rock antics we've grown to love them for. They lay down 14 songs of bouncy pop that subtly hint at their many influences from home and beyond. They've also managed to put a bit more polish on for their second full-length. If you're looking to hear some unabashed feel good music that you won't be able to get out of your head, give this one a listen and get ready to smile.
