Last week, we learned that UK electronic music vets the Orb had teamed up with reggae icon Lee Scratch Perry for a new full-length collab called THE ORBSERVER in the star house, and we also got the first taste of the collection via their dubby dance single, "Hold Me Upsetter." If you wanted some visual accompaniment for the cut, you're in luck.
The clip is quite dizzying, with each object gracing the screen spinning around as if on an invisible Lazy Susan. Of the antique treasures on display, you'll note a toy robot, a few porcelain phrenology busts and a bearded-but-bald-on-top carved totem. There's also a dreadlocked dancer twirling his hair beneath some spinning neon overlays.
Tuck your head between your legs if you get seasick, but don't worry; as those spiralling, severed mannequin arms are suggesting with their gestures, everything is going to be okay.
As previously reported, THE ORBSERVER in the star house arrives August 28 through the End Records.
