NXNE - Japandroids

Of course, one of the big question marks at every NXNE is which bands will perform in each of the "special guest" slots. For fans lucky enough to already be in the Dakota Tavern at 2 a.m., that meant catching a sweaty, raucous show by Vancouver's always-exciting Japandroids. Even those who don't particularly enjoy their recorded material could find something to enjoy about the duo's wholehearted, enthusiastic performance that filled the venue from wall to wall. In the centre of it all, a churning mosh pit saw fans getting into the festival spirit by shoving each other around playfully as the band played through apparent technical issues. Here's doubting anybody noticed.
