Hollerado presumably have a diverse record collection: heavy on Sloan and Thrush Hermit but peppered with honky tonk, blues, gospel and rawk. It's that range that makes them such a consummate bar band. Happily high at the CN Tower, the affable team mused on acrophobia and incited onstage dancing while running through an instantly familiar canon. Blues riffs, spot-lit high hats, fake-out codas and roadhouse-ready grooves kept things surprising though never jarring. Bonus: the multi-vocal hymnal is an underused trope that was perfectly employed.
