The New Pornographers' latest album is called Brill Bruisers, and frontman A.C. Newman has celebrated its release by visiting the iconic Brill Building in New York for a Funny or Die sketch.
The three-minute clip shows Newman visiting the once-booming facility to try his songs out on a couple of grumpy industry vets, played by Julie Klausner and Jake Fogelnest. They have an awkward discussion about Phil Spector, and Carl plays his New Porns song "Wilde Eyes" for the two very unimpressed curmudgeons.
