A press release has described In Transit as "Muneshine's gift to the world," and now it's time to open that gift. Before the album arrives on June 30 through Scissor Records/Tommy Boy, the Toronto rapper-producer has made it available to stream on Exclaim.ca.
The album includes input from producers Exile, Freddie Joachim, Oddisee, Kev Brown and LAKIM, while featured guests include Jenn Grant, Moka Only, Skratch Bastid, Timbuktu, Ghettosocks, Adam Bomb (of Naturally Born Strangers and the Freedom Writers), Fresh Daily and more.
The result is 15 tracks spanning more than 51 minutes. Kicking off with the DJ scratching and explosive hooks of "Boom Goes the Dynamite," the album comes out of the gate hard. Most of the collection, however, it devoted to old-school beats and chilled-out, summery grooves.
