Morrissey Covers Lou Reed's 'Satellite of Love' for New Single
Morrissey was among the many folks who posted tribute messages following Lou Reed's death, and now the former Smiths singer has announced plans to release a live cover one of Reed's best-known songs, "Satellite of Love."

Moz's version of the classic cut from 1972's Transformer dates back a couple of years. The performance he's releasing was recorded back in November 2011 at the Chelsea Ballroom in Las Vegas.

It will come out digitally on December 2 through Parlophone Records. This coincides with the release of Morrissey's Autobiography audiobook on December 5. A vinyl release will follow in January; it will arrive as a heavyweight 12-inch and as a 7-inch picture disc, along with extra live tracks.

This follows another recent live release from Morrissey, his 25:Live DVD.
