Moon Gypsies

The Moon Gypsies' Slip is the Madison, WI, band's second LP. It is tight, well-packaged, reasonably played, pleasant enough and slick as the day is long - bar and grill-friendly country music for the suburban set that you'll forget as soon as you pay your bill. The songs are inoffensive and polished but unchallenging, and the lines are straight and the turns are minor. That's not to say the Moon Gypsies don't deserve mainstream airplay, indeed that's exactly what they deserve, since clearly they are a hardworking bunch trying to get a break. Unfortunately, they'll get lost with their edgeless brethren.
