Modern English Drop New EP, Play Vancouver

BY Josiah HughesPublished Sep 7, 2010

Earlier this year, iconic British, UK pop group Modern English dropped their seventh album, and first in 14 years, Soundtrack. Better yet, the original line-up performed live together for the first time since the mid-'80s. Rather than sink back into another long absence, they've announced a new EP and another string of shows.

The new EP is called Blister, and features a new track, two demo tracks and Soundtrack highlight "Blister." The digital-only release is available now exclusively via Darla Records.

Blister comes in conjunction with Modern English's upcoming North American dates. Like last time, the run is brief and the shows are few, with the group's sole Canadian appearance happening in Vancouver on September 11.

Blister:

1. "Blister"
2. "Happiness Training"
3. "It's OK (Demo)"
4. "Here Comes Failure" (Demo)

Tour dates:

9/9 Portland, OR - Aladdin Theater
9/11 Vancouver, BC - Club Zone
9/12 Seattle, WA - The Triple Door
9/15 Salt Lake City, UT - The Urban Lounge
9/17 Phoenix, AZ - The Compound Grill
9/18 Irvine, CA - Jack's 5th Show, Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre
