The infamous Mobb Deep are apparently just about hit us with a new EP called Survival of the Fittest, this being a not-so-subtle allusion to their 1995 single of the same name. They're revealing bits and pieces of the release ahead of time, though, having just brought to light the smooth, yet sinister sounds of "Hide Away."
The song features a rather relaxed electric piano melody, but this is offset by squelching organ tones and a slinking snare snap that brings us back to '90s East Coast hip-hop territory, fittingly enough. Throughout the cut, Havoc and Prodigy deliver cool-as-ice lines about staying on their grind, keeping things dangerous, and remaining infamous.
You'll find "Hide Away" in plain view down below.
