Backed by nothing but a dynamic light show, Graham Van Pelt surprised many with Miracle Fortress 2.0's emphasis on electronic beats and his own vocal forays into techno. Underneath his grade-school sweater, Van Pelt's chest was glowing in fluorescent light emanating near his heart. Clad in sunglasses on an otherwise pitch-black stage, he struck all manner of poses while using conventional living room lamps as props, and triggering three red sirens to start spinning. Augmenting Van Pelt's quietly mixed falsetto, the electro-charged music was ambitious but close to secondary in an alluring performance art piece.
