As if being involved in one of the best heavy albums of last year, Converge's Axe to Fall, wasn't enough, that band's drummer, Ben Koller, has teamed up with the Hope Conspiracy vocalist Kevin Baker and Bloodhorse's Adam Wentworth and Matt Woods in a new band called All Pigs Must Die.
The subtly named quartet have been recording songs at Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou's Godcity Studios this month, but so far no release plans for the material have been announced, reports Lambgoat.
Given Converge's rich history of successful side-projects, we have reason to be excited. The guys from the band have given us the ambient noise of Supermachiner, the experimental sludge of Old Man Gloom, and the hardcore death'n'roll of Doomriders. These guys don't often hit and miss, even when they're just tossin' them off.
Head to All Pigs Must Die's Facebook page to see photos and videos of them in the studio laying down tracks. You can also check out the band's Twitter page, but apart from that, info about this amalgamation of sweaty hardcore dudes is pretty scant. But we do suspect they are fans of this:
