Out-there hip-hop production great Madlib has been dropping major amounts of content with his Medicine Show series for a long time. While Madlib Medicine Show #11 was released way back in December, it was a 28-track hip-hop album. Now, he's planning to complete the 12-part series with Madlib Medicine Show #12, an album that features over 30 tracks.
According to Stones Throw, the album features "a host of un-suspecting collaborators that run the gamut from thugs, street poets, star emcees and underdogs. We ain't naming names. The show runs 60 minute with 30+ tracks."
Madlib Medicine Show #12 will be released on September 27 and can be pre-ordered here. A sample of the album can be streamed below.
To top that off, Madlib is planning a special North American tour to coincide with the release. Details of the shows have not been unveiled, but he is expected to hit six cities with a one-of-a-kind performance that will include sets from J. Rocc, live screenprinting and a variety of other surprises. Here's hoping he doesn't forget Canada when he makes his schedule.
