This Montreal trio owes a lot to NoMeansNo — from playing style to dual vocals to the feel of the music. Not that it’s a bad thing. They do forge out on their own occasionally with one electronic track and some new school metal à la Helmet and White Zombie, which makes an attempt to fit in, but falls a bit short. If you’re into that bass-heavy style, you should get some listening enjoyment out of this.
