Earlier this year, Vancouver alt-pop act Limblifter broke a long spell of silence by reissuing their self-titled 1996 album and returning to the stage. This appears to have blossomed into a full-blown comeback, since the band will play some more shows this fall as they gear up to release a new album.
Later this month, Limblifter will play a trio of shows in Western Canada. Then, two months later, they will close out November with a Toronto concert. Although there aren't many dates, anything is a bonus considering that their NXNE show this year was intended as a one-off. See the schedule.
According to a press release, the band may have some new music ready to go by the time that Toronto show takes place. They are reportedly "writing music for a new album" and plan to have a new 7-inch ready by late November.
When the new album arrives, it will be the band's first since 2004's I/O. The current lineup features frontman Ryan Dahle, along with returning collaborators Megan Bradfield and Brent Follett, plus auxiliary Sloan member Gregory Macdonald.
In addition to plotting new Limblifter material, Dahle has been working on producing and co-writing the K-os new album. He's also apparently planning a collaborative project with Steve Bays of Hot Hot Heat and Hawksley Workman.

9/29 Calgary, AB - Republik
9/30 Edmonton, AB - Starlite
11/30 Toronto, ON - Lee's Palace
