Layiterslayit

With a changing of the political guard in the nation’s capitol, it’s nice to know there’s still something worthwhile happening in Ottawa. Together just a couple of years, Layiterslayit’s debut should distinguish the quartet as one of the punk bands to watch in 2006. With a front-line assembly of three vocalists, Seduction and Destruction does exactly what the title suggests with an aggressive melodic sound that recalls Avail, Hot Water Music and Bad Religion in one sonic assault. These guys take their art seriously yet their music and lyrics are at once hard-hitting and light-hearted.
