Kreator

Enemy of God

Two decades after their debut, Germany’s Kreator return with the tried, tested and true to serve up a platter of well-executed Teutonic thrash that’s a pleasure from start to finish. After a number of hit-and-miss albums during the ’90s, the quartet offers up a straight-ahead thrash metal album that reminds of their glory days, 1988’s Terrible Certainty in particular, as well as Seasons In The Abyss-era Slayer. Having found their way again with 2001’s Violent Revolution, it’s nice to have one of the genre’s biggest bands ever back doing what they do best. Their tour this spring with fellow thrash mavens Death Angel and Polish death metallers Vader should be the metal tour of the season. Make sure not to miss it if it hits a city near you.
