When I was a teenager, I wanted to be Kittie. Not one member of the London, ON unit, but a combination of every one of them: a hard rocking, metal screaming, drum bashing Kittie. Oracle doesn't change my mind about that. The album continues the Kittie tradition of jumping from throat destroying screams to a melodic purr. Tracks like "In Winter" remind fans why they like the band, but I often wonder how long the group can last. As their fans grow and mature, Kittie seems almost stuck in time. Eventually, fans will see that each album is the same and that there is just better metal out there. The all-girl trick can only last so long.
