King Creosote and Jon Hopkins Line Up 'Honest Words' EP

Following the release of their heralded debut collaboration Diamond Mine earlier this year and a string of North American tour dates last month, UK duo of Scottish folk singer King Creosote and London-based electronic composer Jon Hopkins have revealed they've got a few more tunes coming our way via a new EP.

A press release confirms that the twosome will release the three-song Honest Words EP this September. While two brand new tracks feature on the mini-set, another track reworks "Bats In The Attic," from the Mercury Prize-nominated Diamond Mine. At least lyrically, the EP is said to feature "more soul-searching than Fife folklore," while the electro-acoustic compositions themselves are hinted at being a bit grander. "The music underneath follows these thoughts into more expansive, crystalline realms, far away from the harbours and tea-rooms where they began," the one-sheet reads.

Honest Words comes out as both a twelve-inch single and a digital download September 19 in the UK and day later on these shores.
