Having signed to Nettwerk, Waterloo, ON-based electro trio Kidstreet recently made their label debut via the X EP. Now, we have a new video for the title track.
It shows the band playing the robotic dance tune in a sweaty basement as revellers get rowdy amid the smoke machines and strobe lights.
In a statement to Exclaim!, Kidstreet's Karl Snyder had this to say about the vid: "It was a great time making the video. We gutted a basement, bought a bunch of beer and invited people over for a party. It's always difficult to film what we want people to get from our live shows, so this was our way to express that by making a this video.
"The inspiration was simply to have fun. No preconceptions, just fun."
This clip is for the original version of the song. There are also three different remixes on the six-track EP.
This week, Kidstreet are on tour in Ontario with Mother Mother. Go here to see the schedule and to listen to X in full.
