In the latest episode of Exclaim! TV's Aggressive Tendencies series, we feature Winnipeg metallic hardcore warriors KEN Mode.
During a recent stop at Toronto's Lee's Palace while on tour with Today is the Day, Exclaim! TV caught up with KEN Mode vocalist/guitarist Jesse Matthewson. He discussed the trio's latest album, Entrench, their unique sound and how they've expanded it further with the inclusion of piano. Matthewson also talked about the writing process for the record, how new bassist Andrew LaCour (of Khann) has had an impact on the band's material, as well as how the cover art came to be.
KEN Mode's Entrench is out now via Season of Mist and is the follow-up to 2011's Venerable.
