Canadian singer-songwriter Katie Bulley (formerly of Hamilton, ON indie rock trio the Barettas) has spent the past few months stateside recording her first-ever full-length, Sun Wolf, at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis. The album won't be out until spring 2014, but Bulley is already giving us a taste of her debut LP with a video for album cut "Up & In."
An artistic homage to the work of acclaimed rock'n'roll photographer Bob Gruen (who is known for his shots of Bob Dylan, Debbie Harry, the Clash and more), the video finds Bulley traipsing around New York City as she tries to recreate some of his iconic images. Photos of John Lennon abound, which should come as no surprise, considering her last video was released on what would have been his 73rd birthday.
Check out the video now in the player below. While Bulley's upcoming album is completed, she's currently raising funds for its release, which you can donate towards by clicking here.
