We've got yet another track from the star-studded Arthur Russell tribute album Master Mix: Red Hot + Arthur Russell, as José González's version of "This Is How We Walk on the Moon" has emerged.
Like Russell's original version, Gonzalez keeps the arrangement fairly mellow, although his acoustic guitar-driven soundscape downplays the song's experimentalism. It gets a little more urgent as it goes along, as a low-key electronic pulse is overlaid with jazzy horns. Hear it below [via T Magazine].
Master Mix: Red Hot + Arthur Russell arrives on October 21 on Yep Roc with other contributors including Robyn, Sufjan Stevens, Hot Chip, Devendra Banhart, Blood Orange, Scissor Sisters, Phosphorescent, Cults, Richard Reed Parry and more.
