Coming off of the release of his Asleep Versions EP earlier this month, UK electronic producer Jon Hopkins has now whipped up a quick mix for BBC Radio 1 packing his own music into a playlist alongside Panda Bear, Clark, Joy Orbison and more.
His two-hour Essential Mix kicks off with tracks from Bvdub & Loscil, Rapoon, and Barker & Baumecker, but the artist eventually reveals some of his own goods with a stream of previously unreleased number "Interlude." He also throws in Pangaea and Moderat remixes of his material, as well as the Field's touch-up of I Break Horses' "Faith," among others.
"It feels amazing to join a lineup that has included so many people whose music I admire," Hopkins said in a statement of getting to put together his own Essential Mix. "I put a lot of work into this, trying to showcase the tracks that have influenced my recent album and live shows, and trying to build a musical structure and journey over the two hours."
