After plenty of anticipation, today (March 30) finally marks the release of Lost River, Johnny Jewel's soundtrack for the Ryan Gosling film of the same name.
Jewel has worked on the project since 2013, and while the film itself has been divisive among critics, there's no denying that the soundtrack stands on its own as an impressive and engrossing piece of music.
The album also features contributions from related Jewel projects, such as Chromatics, Glass Candy and Desire, as well as some vocal contribution from film stars Saoirse Ronan and Ben Mendelsohn. It also all plays out through the course of a whopping 37 tracks.
Lost River can be streamed below. The album is available now from Italians Do It Better, and the vinyl is expected to arrive in June.
