Someone has been dwelling around old record stores a little too long, inhaling the dust that lurks in them. The theme is alcohol, callousness and swanky rock'n'roll. What separates Callous from other lounge rockers is that his palate is too broad for one avenue - someone give this guy a Cessna, just make sure he isn't flying it. Instead, producers Glenn Marshall and Dan Achen handle the mosaic of inspirations, transforming them into a surrealistic airy picture, with contributions by members of the Killjoys, Chore and Junkhouse doing the grounding. If it all sounds too confusing, then be sure to listen to this while under the influence; the slowing down of logic and decision making will make everything fall into place.
