In 2011, songwriter Nick "Diamonds" Thorburn has released an album with his band Mister Heavenly and dropped a solo collection online. Next year, however, the busy pop rocker will be returning his attention to his main project, Islands.
According to a newly issued press release, Islands "recently finished a brand new album which will be released via Anti-Records early next year."
At this point, we don't have any more information than that, but we're already getting excited about the follow-up to 2009's hook-heavy Vapours.
Islands will be playing two shows at CMJ this month: on October 22 and 28, both at the Dominion Theater. If you happen to swing by the shows, maybe you'll catch a preview of some new material.
