Despite their ever-changing lineup, indie popsters Islands are slated to release a new album early in 2012. Frontman Nick Thorburn wrote the album after ending a relationship and moving to Los Angeles, previously describing the record as his interpretation of soul music. Though he added, "I mean, I'm a white kid from Canada so it's gonna be very warped." Now you can get your first listen of the new Islands material in the form of a song that goes by the name of, well, "This Is Not a Song."
