While it's been almost a year since monolithic metal masters Isis announced their break-up, the band apparently still have a lot to give their fans. The outfit have announced that you will be able to keep your Isis collection growing via a series of digital-only live albums.
The series kicks off May 31 with the release of Isis Live I 9.23.03, a four-song, 40-minute set captured at the Fillmore in San Francisco. The subsequent releases, recorded in London, Albuquerque and Stockholm, among other cities, will be let loose at two-week intervals. You can check out the details and tracklistings below.
While you can purchase each download separately for $5.99, you can get all five for a sale price of $20. You can also pick up premium packages, featuring extra goodies like T-shirts, hoodies or a copy of the group's 2006 DVD, Clearing the Eye. See the band's website for more details.
While Isis are inactive, their members are still hitting it hard. Guitarist Mike Gallagher is busy scoring films and creating music under the name MGR; guitarist/vocalist Aaron Turner is working on projects Mamiffer and House of Low Culture; basisst Jeff Caxide is playing in CRONE; keyboardist Clifford Meyer has two new projects (Windmills by the Ocean and Taiga), on top of his work with Red Sparowes; and drummer Aaron Harris is doing production work in the studio.
