Iggy Pop has caused a stir in England over racist remarks he made during an interview with the BBC at the Glastonbury festival on the weekend.
The 60-year-old Godfather of Punk and front-man for the Stooges was talking about his shopping habits he went into a long rant about visiting Camden and some "Paki shops."
The hosts of the Glastonbury coverage - Jo Whiley and Mark Radcliffe - made no effort to apologise on air for Iggy's comments, thus prompting viewers to call in and complain.
Since then, a BBC spokesperson has made a statement saying: "We would like to apologise if anyone was offended."
