With a name like Icons Of Filth and a singer named Stig, you'd expect some doom-filled sludge like Amebix or heavy-duty grindcore like Napalm Death. But these old time crusty punx fall somewhere in between the two. Originally formed in 1983, they share common ground with other UK bands like Conflict and the Varukers, although their sound is not as harsh. And even though it's 20 years later, they still have plenty to rail against which they gleefully do. The 13 tracks on this have a rocknroll feel that may seem strange for crusties to be playing but they pull it off.
