I Am Ghost

I Am Ghost’s We are Always Searching won’t cheer you up. It’s a moody, gothic blend of punk and emo, matching step for step the footprints of recent emo/goth forefathers My Chemical Romance and AFI. The metal influence is definitely heard, especially in the boy/girl vocals and in the use of classical strings and piano. Lyrically, this album is introspective and gloomy, just the kind of record that will make teenage emo fans with expensive haircuts go wild. For the rest of us, however, this album won’t change our lives one way or another.
