Montreal hardcore unit Hopeless Youth recently followed up their debut album with a new EP titled Devil, Walk with Me. Now, they've treated a track from that record to a new video, and Exclaim! has got the exclusive premiere.
"Light Bearer" hears the band showing off their hard-hitting sound, which blends together a combination of influences that range from thrash to crust punk to black metal and doom. The results are aggressive and in your face, and now the song has been given some equally fierce visual accompaniment.
The video captures Hopeless Youth in their live element, performing in a Montreal basement. It was captured using iPhones and a digital video camera, and features shots of the crowd to really convey the frenetic, riotous energy of the band's show.
Hopeless Youth's Devil, Walk with Me is out now on Pluto Records. Check out the video for "Light Bearer" in the player below.
