Hoods

Ghetto Blaster

BY Max DeneauPublished May 23, 2007

Continuing a string of erratic, lower tier releases, Hoods brings the tuff mosh, the old school cred and the shit production — what more could you want? This isn’t horrible, it simply lacks character and comes across like a mildly diverting mishmash of styles failing to bring anything truly exciting to the table. The recording, as mentioned, is weak and raw, lacking any definition or unruly intensity. Apparently there are two vocalists, but you’d never notice. Additionally, Ghetto Blaster clocks in under 25 minutes, barely qualifying as a full-length. Even beat down fanatics can do better than this.
