Halford Resurrection World Tour/Live At Rock In Rio III

Published Nov 20, 2008
Seemingly inconspicuous yet packed with material, this double feature is everything any Halford fan could ask for. The disc kicks off with a full-length documentary in which the metal god reveals his reasons for dissolving Fight, creating the Halford band, the impact of his choice and ensuing reinstatement into the world of heavy music, pre-Judas Priest return. It is informative and stunning. Featuring backstage footage, interviews and live tracks, it is worthwhile in its own right. However, knowing the value of a dollar, Halford adds in the bands phenomenal Rock In Rio performance, as well as the "Made In Hell music video and trailers for upcoming releases. While some footage is a bit rough-hewn, when put in the context of such a massive collection, it is entirely forgivable. Factor in a remastered version of the Resurrection CD, with extra tracks/notes, and Resurrection World Tour/Live At Rock In Rio III sets a new standard for music DVDs.
