Love that album name, and on full-length number three, Spanish gore-grinders Gruesome Stuff Relish (okay, love that band name too) give us plenty of reasons to love the tunes they're laying down. No doubt about it, this is Carcass worship, but where this band go a cut above the competition is by taking the raw, gore-infused grindcore of that band's early era and combining it with the catchy songwriting smarts the legendary Brits would incorporate come album three and four. The band throw in enough dive-bomb guitar solos to keep things fun, enough squalid drags through the sludge to keep it ugly and more than enough fast grinding to keep it, well, grinding. And while Sempiternal Death Grind is no Necroticism: Descanting the Insalubrious or Heartwork, what is? As far as bands that are not Carcass go, this is great stuff. Plus, a legendary grindcore song title: "Sex, Drugs & Grind."
