Groundswell

Groundswell is the current incarnation of Ned’s Atomic Dustbin front man John Penney. Not a hell of a lot of development has happened for Mr. Penney. This sounds like late Ned’s material, which kinda sucked anyway. He struggles on the vocals and seems to be trying too hard to recreate the Ned’s energy level and sadly falls short. The B-sides have a couple of interesting moments, but overall this is not a good sign for Penney’s new venture whose future plans include a full album to be released in the new year.
