Grooverider/Various

Grooverider is one of the founders and longest surviving members of the drum & bass scene. He has been a resident at the London club Fabric for many years. Here he compiles a 70-minute mix for Fabric's multi-genre series of mix CDs. As one would expect, the track selection and mixing are very good. The tracks range from funky and fun to hard and metallic. Most are from popular artists such as Peshay, Ed Rush, Dillinja and Krust. There is also a good helping of lesser-known artists. It's a good survey of the different flavours available in modern drum & bass. Being drum & bass, the tracks are necessarily quite fast (and sometimes breathless), but he manages to vary the speed throughout the mix. This is about as good as drum & bass gets.
